INFORMATION: A bevy of Web sites offer information, stories, pictures and analysis of the Battle in Seattle. For starters, try: www.indymedia.org and www.seattleweekly.com/supplements/wto.

Get in touch with the folks at Citizen's Trade Campaign (215 Pennsylvania Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20003; 202-546-4611). Their Web site (www.tradewatch.org) will keep you up to speed on all the issues relating to the WTO—including the upcoming fight to keep China out of the WTO and to keep them from getting permanent Most Favored Nation (MFN) trade status. You can also place an order for Public Citizen's fine book, Whose Trade Organization? Corporate Globalization and the Erosion of Democracy.

AGITATION: When Congress reconvenes, President Clinton will be requesting permanent MFN trade status for China. Buttonhole your Congresspeople during their winter recess and tell them it's a lousy idea.
